Mediterranean Herb Infused Olive Oil

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup high-quality extra virgin olive oil
  • 2-3 sprigs of fresh rosemary
  • 3-4 sprigs of fresh thyme
  • 1-2 sprigs of fresh oregano
  • 2-3 garlic cloves, peeled and smashed
  1. Prepare the Ingredients:

    • Wash and thoroughly dry the fresh herbs. This will help prevent moisture from getting into the oil and potentially causing spoilage.
    • Peel and smash the garlic cloves. Smashing them slightly helps release their flavours into the oil.
  2. Combine the Olive Oil and Herbs:

    • Using the Cole and Mason Olive Oil Pourer, pour the extra virgin olive oil into a clean and dry glass container or bottle with a tight-fitting lid. The pourer will make it easy to control the amount of oil you're adding.
    • Place the fresh herbs and smashed garlic cloves into the bottle with the olive oil. Make sure the herbs fit comfortably without being too tightly packed.
  3. Infusing the Oil:

    • Seal the container with the lid and gently shake it to distribute the herbs and garlic throughout the oil.
    • Find a cool, dark place to store the container for about 1 to 2 weeks. This will allow the flavours of the herbs and garlic to infuse into the oil.
  4. Using the Epping Spray Mister:

    • After the oil has infused for the desired time, carefully strain out the herbs and garlic using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth. The infused oil should be clear and aromatic.
    • Fill the Epping Spray Mister with the infused olive oil. This mister will allow you to evenly spray the oil onto dishes.
  5. Enjoying the Infused Olive Oil:
